South America
I was so happy to win this trip from the National Audubon from my second placing of my two male wood ducks racing in tandem. In my wildest dreams, i never saw myself traveling down the amazing Amazon River to interact with some people who almost never saw cruise boats come to shore. It was a humbling and gratifying experience; one I won't forget. It wasn't as birdy as i would have liked , but there was a small hardy group of us that tried to get the guides who were interested and knowledgable. It rains there and when I say rain, picture someone with a huge bottomless bucket of water pouring it continuously over your head. There were times that leaving the camera on the ship was the only sane option.
